About

It was Renata Scotto, after an audition in 2001, to direct Antonio Corianò towards the professional study of singing. Having moved to Parma, the young tenor studied singing and vocal technique under the guidance of Sergio Bertocchi, also a tenor. He attended the "Centro Universale del Bel Canto" in Bologna and specialized at the Philharmonic Academy.

In 2010 he made his debut in the role of 'Alfredo' in the Traviata at the Teatro Comunale di Budrio, and faced the character of 'Manrico' in the Trovatore, a role that saw him subsequently engaged also in the theaters of Jesi, Cosenza, Ferrara, Pisa and the Royal Opera House of Muscat in Oman, in the setting by Cristina Mazzavillani Muti, created for the Ravenna Festival and directed by maestro Paszkovsk (2012). In 2011 he sang ‘Malcolm’ in Giuseppe Verdi's Macbeth, directed by Riccardo Muti at the Rome Opera House.

Particularly well versed for the Verdi repertoire, he is completing the study of the following titles: Traviata, Rigoletto, I due Foscari, Nabucco, Macbeth, Attila, I Lombardi at the first crusade, Simon Boccanegra, Il Trovatore.

During the last season he resumed the role of ‘Malcolm’ at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence and later he will also be engaged in the role of ‘Arminio’ in Verdi’s Masnadieri at the Teatro Regio di Parma.
