With infrastructure designed to host a wide variety of shows and events, the venue, which is managed by Opus Entretenimento, is located inside the Bourbon Shopping mall in São Paulo.
Inaugurated on October 22, 2009 , with a performance of Cafe de Los Maestros , featuring special appearances by Gustavo Santaolalla and Marisa Monte , the Bradesco Theater has hosted a wide variety of performances. This contemporary project, which elevates the performing arts in Brazil to the highest level of quality, technical resources, and comfort, is the result of a partnership between three major companies: Banco Bradesco , Grupo Záffari , and Opus Promoções.
With a capacity of 1,439 people and a total area of over 7,000m², the Bradesco Theater is considered one of the largest in the country and the largest theater space inside a shopping mall in Brazil. Located inside the Bourbon Shopping São Paulo , the venue has the following sections: Boxes, Balcony, Orchestra, and Private Boxes.
Designed by the firm Monserrat Arquitetos Associados, a team of architects and design engineers with experience in numerous similar projects around the world, the theater incorporated innovative concepts in acoustics and stage equipment. At the entrance, a sophisticated foyer serves as a common area and can be used for parallel events such as exhibitions, vernissages, and autograph sessions, in addition to housing the ticket office and cloakroom. The space is decorated with a large chandelier featuring three pendants and approximately 3,100 interlocking glass links.
The Bradesco Theater, managed by Opus Entretenimento - the largest platform for live shows and entertainment in Brazil - boasts impressive numbers: more than 600 events held and almost 2 million spectators.
Over the years, since its inauguration, the theater's stage has hosted groups, musicals, plays, and artists such as: Gal Costa, Rita Lee, Dionne Warwick, Carla Bruni, Maria Rita, Gilberto Gil, Simone, Ney Matogrosso, Teach Me to Live, The Nutcracker, Pernas Pro Ar, Hairspray, Tango a Tierra, Eva Yerbabuena, Imperial Russian Ballet, Alcione, Madelaine Peyroux, Bachiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Bibi Ferreira, Céu, Grupo Tholl, La Cage aux Folles, Sandy, Erasmo Carlos, A Night in Buenos Aires, Disney Live, Disney in Concert, Ana Carolina, Monica's Gang, Il Volo, Lenine, Dianne Reeves, Richard Clayderman, Adriana Calcanhoto, Buena Vista Social Club Orchestra, Fábio Jr., Julieta Venegas, Alceu Valença, Arnaldo Antunes, Daniela Mercury, Vanessa da Mata, Toquinho, Roupa Nova, Lulu Santos, Beth Carvalho, Terça Insana, Os Melhores do Mundo, Paulinho da Viola, Mitch Winehouse, Deutsche Philharmonic, Piaf!
