About
Christine Birkle studied Fashion Design at the HdK Berlin. In1993 she founded her own label »Hut up« in Berlin and presented her first clothing and home-wares collection in 1996. She created 2-3 collections every year, which she presented in Paris and Berlin. Since 2004 she worked with Sasha Waltz and created the costumes for »Impromptus«, »Dido & Aeneas«, »Fantasie«, »Medea«, the choreographic opera »Matsukaze« and »Women«. In December 2016 she died at the age of 55.
